My favorite classic show of all time is Leave it to Beaver. I know it gets a bad rap from people who say it was too perfect and too unrealistic, but what I like about it is that it truly does teach a lesson in every single episode. And a lot of what Beaver went through are the same things children are going through today, at least on one level. I mean yes the world is a lot meaner these days, but kids still do experience the same daily obstacles that Beaver did. On top of that it's funny and well-written, and truly the only show I can think of told completely from a child's perspective. In my opinion every episode is as good as the next, and there sure aren't many shows I can say that about, if any!! I wish Hulu could get Beaver episodes!!   See 3 other replies

....innocence The older shows seem to touch one's heart, in one way or another. Andy Griffith, for example, seemed to always strive to teach a lesson. Many of today's shows are simply there to garnish a few laughs while making some bucks. It seems, for the most part, to be a lost art.   See 3 other replies

I have always loved Andy Griffith and even I love Lucy ... and never really liked DVD that much. But ... recently I've been watching them all and simply love it! It still has that 'good' feeling older shows have before the late 60's and especially the 70's ruined!!! Love these!!!   See 3 other replies
