I normally like westerns, but this one wasn't one of the better ones.The narration by Death was an interesting spin from the typical formula, albeit, not completely unique. However, the story was somewhat boring, and you never really got to meet any of the characters, and as such, couldn't care less if they died or not.I suppose what you have left is Death as the main character, and this is his story, not that of any of the players involved.So script aside, another downside was a lot of scenes looked like they were intended for widescreen, and there were way too many details cut off at the sides in this cropped version. It is hard to pay attention to what the people are saying when only half their heads are on screen.There were some pretty poor special effects too, which are not uncommon in older westerns, but were more pronounced here due to the lack of a good story with which to distract you.
