Andre did have a really good sense of humor when he was alive. He knew that he was larger than almost everybody else (but not always taller) and he had a great love of life.He was in a lot of pain during the last ten years of his life, and he could no longer wrestle long matches starting in the early 90s. The last Wrestlemania he wrestled in was VI, but he did appear at and interfere in a match at VII. He was then "put out of" WWE when another wrestler attacked him, and he retired for good. He went back to his homeland of France to attend his father's funeral in 1993, and it was there that he passed away at the age of 43.Seeing as how my name is also Andre, I was always a fan of his. Jason Segal is tall all right, but he ain't no giant, and there will never be another giant like Andre Rousimoff.Still, I do wonder what they used to change Jason's voice. Andre was not very well-spoken, but at least he was not entirely unintelligible. BTW, it's segments like this one why I no longer bother with SNL. It's redundant to mention how much they suck now, but I agree with that all the way!

I really like SNL, but this skit goes a bit too far. For one, Andre the Giant passed away, and two he had an illness. Not like the other large wrestlers like him. They had to change the moves to not hurt him because he was in pain so often. They really shouldn't poke fun at people with real illnesses. Like I said not funny.
