This is definitely one of the best nature films I have seen. It is interesting to see the family interactions and how it helps ensure their survival. Beautiful scenery and magnificent animals in their natural habitat.

One of the best nature programs of all time. A good balance of entertainment and education; (but don't tell the kids that it's "educational"). The cinematography is nothing short of spectacular; from stunning panoramas to intimate portraits.

This is the story of 'Kolo', and the lessons he must learn in order to grow from childhood to adulthood; lessons that can easily be applied to the human experience. At times a bit anthropomorphic, but the interesting and complex social structure of meerkats makes this almost inevitable.

The inclusion of recreated elements prevents this from being a "true" documentary, but makes for some great story-telling and an overall compelling experience for the entire family.

I really enjoyed this presentation. My only discontent was because at times I would have liked to hear less from the narrator. He spoiled my mood at times, otherwise I found it to be quite enjoyable. You'll root for Kolo throughout!

This is beautifully filmed and would be great except it is missing the narration by Paul Newman.
