I gotta put my two cents in about the music too. It's almost criminal that the music isn't original and I've read enough blog posts to agree that the hardcore fans, myself included, would pay just about any price to get the original airings. The syndicated airings were so-so since they still had most of the music that was integral to plot or dialogue but watching these with absolute horrid canned music takes away a vital piece of the puzzle.
Hey HULU, add another commercial or two and put the original music back with the extra revenue! See 2 other replies

I half agree with you. With some shows it doesn't bother me if the music is changed. With a show like this one however (a show where music was an integral part of the plot and time setting) I don't think the music should have been changed at all.
Hardcore fans would rather go on Ebay and buy taped copies of this show instead of the DVD release and I don't blame them. Fox should have just bit the bullet and released the series untouched. I know for a fact some people would pay whatever it costs to buy the episodes as they were when they originally aired and not this edited blasphemy. See 2 other replies

I realize there may be legal issues, but I always get frustrated when the music in an episode gets changed. I think "Hot Blooded" works much better when Les is putting on his new clothes. I have this episode on tape from years ago. I've watched it several times. Being used to that, the changes just tend to ruin it for me.

Unfortunately we're not seeing the original episodes. The RIAA wants their $ for all the original songs that were part of the original broadcasts. This is why we haven't seen them released on DVD yet. This is also why the originals aren't seen in syndication (TV gets the same ones seen here). I've heard suggestions that the the entire series would cost in the $400-$500 range in order for there to be adequate profits for all concerned. You can't really blame the RIAA since most of its members have a hard time capitalizing from record sales anymore..........Oh well, maybe someday.

This is a very funny episode, with the funniest part being Les dressing up to the tune of "Hot Blooded".....I was so looking foward to seeing Les rock out to that song! I still laughed, but am disappointed they dubbed out the Hot Blooded song.

As a former DJ (among other media work), I laugh at how real this show really can be. I worked for years in the industry and at each and every station, there is always someone that reminds you of the television show - or is it the other way around. ;) Oh well, there is a real treat of a show. Jennifer is lovely as always and very graceful for sure. If you do not know the characters, invest in the time and watch this episode to really understand who is who and what is what. Thank you Hulu for not only this quite flash from the past but your wonderful site and all that you provide.

I enjoyed this show so much when it originally aired, so I was happy to play a couple of episodes on hulu. This one was one of my favorites (along with Turkeys and Tornadoes), but I must say that I was very disappointed when the scene started where Les is gearing up for his date with Jennifer. The music to which he dressed up and pulled on his wig was "Hot Blooded," a perfect fit. However, some other music was dubbed in its place. Copyright issue, I guess. That's too bad, because he sound track of WKRP was such an essential part of the show, another character to be a foil for Johnny.
