skilled logia types can defend against haki, but at the same time, skilled fighters able to use haki probably have an equal playing field. seeing as how, the dark king was able to fight equally with kizaru without breaking a sweat. also, i feel like magellan is a logia type, but his power, (being extremely strong and overpowered since even if he is hit he kills whoever hits him) is similar to blackbeards logia type power since he has the "strongest" logia type power but is easily hit (seems like the stronger the power logia wise, the less likely they are to be able to not be effected by regular physical attackes). carribu, obviously logia. but magellan i feel could be toss up although in my opinion he seems to be a logia.   See 22 other replies

i haven't read the manga, but i want to now after reading this thread. but from what i've seen so far with the show, i feel like Jimbei is the most likely character to join due to the fact that he has been waiting for luffy at fishman island and now doesn't have a crew of his own. despite what people are saying the manga says i feel as though it would almost be a disappointment if he didn't join. also, in the beginning of the show luffy states that he wants at least 10 crew members. i'm looking for the specific scene where he states such but am having trouble finding it. when i do i'll post. but i also feel as though a devil fruit user would even things out but as of right now i have no idea where it would lead to or who it could possibly be. there are plenty of options, and with this show anything is pretty much possible. robin was an enemy but ended up being a major part of the crew. the main thing that is consistent with all the crew members though which i feel would play a big role on figuring out who will be the next crew member, is the fact that luffy chooses them. robin wasn't necessarily chosen until the water seven arc but she joined before that, but as for zoro, sanji, nami, chopper, brook, and franky, they were picked by luffy and he wouldn't take no for an answer. i still feel as though jimbei is the best choice and most realistic since he and luffy are already acquainted and jimbei is no longer a warlord and doesn't have a crew of his own. it just fits perfectly into the storyline. smoker is too determined on catching luffy to join the crew, i don't feel as though he would give up on that. Smoker is to luffy, as Garp was to Roger. another speculation of mine is how this show has an uncanny habit of bringing back past characters and tying them into the present story, so that could play a role as well. the new member could be someone we have seen in the past. but that's just speculation. no real, basis for that claim.   See 22 other replies
