Its weird when people who claim to be atheist say they are atheist when the question of faith arises. It would appear your atheism is rooted in a disliking or disagreement on the concept of faith in a higher being rather than a true willed arrival that their is no force beyond the accident of life that we so exist within. In these cases I believe you would better describe yourself as a skeptic, an atheist would feel no desire to prove or disprove the existence of god or deity. Anyway the movie is about archetypes of humanity and the struggles of good and evil from a mythical garden of Eden theme, I would think most Christians would be appalled to even have a comparative of their faith in St. Jesus as part of the analyses of this movie. It's actually an existentialist and transcendentalist review of a moral struggle of Father and son, as with most Hollywood the inception is "I am not my father"

I get so tired of people who aren't christians making everything about christians and the bible. This is a movie,nothing more or less. It has some a christian undertone but that is the nature of an "end of the world" kinda movie,unless of course you wanna go with the Mayan thing. There are but two kinds of End of the world stuff as far as main stream media knows. The christian version or the Mayan version. They picked one and went with it. Just like many other good movies have done for many years. Get over yourself,christians are not taking over the world through media and trying to force conversation on you. It's just a move....oh, and I'm not christian....in case you thought I was trying to sneak a conversation in on you.
