After the van nearly runs over Penny and Capt. Hammer throws her out of the way (and into the trash), Dr. Horrible runs out of hiding, and says angrily, "You idiot! You nearly killed her! Is she--" at which point Capt. Hammer grabs Horrible around the neck and proceedes to strangle him. I just watched this scene again, and I noticed, once again, the surprising contrast between their costumes and gloves especially. Against Capt. Hammer's black gloves, Dr. Horrible's white ones look extremely bright and almost glowing. I think it's interesting how the protaginist is the antagonist, but the antagonist is supposed to be the protaginist, and how everything is switched. Usually, the villian is the one in the dark cloak and sinister, threatening demeaner, and the hero is clothed in bright colors and has the noble face. When you think about it, our hero is the one in bright white gloves, and the villian has the black gloves.
