yes they do its like the army if they fail on a important test you have to go back thrur boot camp again now sometimes they let or they used to in the 70s redo the test but if you fail it again yes you go thrue it all over again but back then you couldnt just leave i knew one guy who went thru book camp three times but he didnt want to go to vietnam so he did it on purpose but he passed my outfit when he was in mine my di said you will pass this time son weather you go to nam or not and what was strange not all guys had to go to vietnam i wanted to go myself but i went to germany first then i asked to go from there i was 18 when i went id have done it a gain i lost many good friends but people dont knowe many of the people there where glad to have us there the commies where really mean to the south vietnamese i had a old lady whos husband was hung in the door way because she cleaned our clothes for us she loved us and we loved her and the guy who was always late he didnt want to bve a deputy or he would have done right even normal jobs i had to call in otr i could be fired like any job you have to call in he wouldnt have made a very good deputy i wouldnt of wanted him for a daputy or want him in my fox hole no way but this guy who failed the test he will be back he is a good one we all mess up sometimes he just thought he had it nailed he will do it in fact i bet he is one now good man he could be in my fox hole anytime   See 2 other replies

Unfortunately yes, as you can see in Season 2, some recruits from 355 join 368 (I don't think that's a spoiler, I'm not mentioning names...) That's part of what makes it real sad- many don't come back because they just can't do it all over again.   See 2 other replies
