Not a spoiler, but this is about the final show of Season two. The cliffhanger that leave you with in the very last three minutes has nothing at all to do with the rest of the two ...

This series had a mildly rocky start. At times it seemed as though the writers were working too hard to be clever, and the actors weren't quite hitting their marks. This episode, however, is a classic example of why this show works so well. Multiple plot lines, shouted science, conflict every way you look, and through it all the ever-present mistrust of government and faith in science. How could you not love this show?

Some of the science is sketchy.
The "general" was wearing a colonel's uniform.
Everyone talks about bad acting, especially Bob's character, he acts that way because he is supposed to have a form of autism called Asperger's syndrome ... one of the symptoms is social awkwardness and a flat disposition.

One noticeable feature of this series is that rarely does five minutes of airtime go by without someone with a beer, scotch, bourbon or vodka in their hand. Seriously the drinking in every episode so far has been constant, even with minors, why?
Drunken scientists unite?....Is this the only plot device the writers can come up with to make the 'characters seem real'. Oops I forgot there are also the cheroot cigars the lead character lights up at every oppurtunity ala Clint Eastwood in the earlier episodes. Sigh....character development via vice's exposed is overused and stale, but this series is pushing even those limits. Let's not forget his James Bond quality in having slept with every single woman on the show at some point apparently. Shallow, unimaginative, and lame best describe the clich'ed characters of this series, along with marginal acting skills at times. If it were not for the intrigueing plots presented in some episodes this series would be a total loss and waste of time. Was this review helpful?
