This starts a little rough due to character development, but then things get much more interesting...then intriguing. Anyone who has been through the problems "broken families" can bring, will love this film. It portrays a way to heal things between children and parents without forcing any phony shmaltz upon us. The use of the dolphins, and the father's research with them is an excellent vehicle for this. I once knew a swimmer at one of the theme parks that feature dolphins, and his experiences in the water with them over long periods of time, truly changed his life.
My only negative comment; is that the film needed more time to fill in some of the gaps between major developments.
And finally; what a gorgeous film - unbelievable photography, flawless editing, wonderful sound effects - all producing the desire to sell everything you own and move to Florida...or Hawaii,...I dare you NOT to enjoy this movie.
