From The Great Train Robbery to The Italian Job, D. Sutherland adds his spice and quirky presence.... Overall, this is a load of fun from the opening scene to the closing credits. Sean Connery is, as always, a master on screen and Lesley-Anne Down is with him every step of the way.The intro, the set-up, the plot and the resolution all fit together like the keys in the safe. Crichton leaves it up to his audience's intelligence to know that a safe of that magnitude wouldn't have it's locks changed over-night - so they opt for a lock on the outside of the car instead. This film is a great getaway on a rainy morning - perhaps with the kids or just a cup of coffee. Either way, it should be added to the library or revisited for those days away from CG and overblown sound-tracks (I like those too) but every now and then, just kicking back with a good old-fashion movie does wonders for the imagination.
