I think this person's point isn't that he/she is watching a bad show but instead that ABC would rather keep a "sub-par" show on the air which doesn't do "great" in ratings because it costs them way less because they buy the rights from a Canadian broadcaster. The feeling is that bad shows get to stay and take the space which could go to critical hits but big budgets like "Pushing Daisies"...just as an example.I watch "Rookie Blue" as a mindless distraction which is fine for me. However, I definitely recognize the show's canned acting and writing so can sympathize with television lovers who are missing their quality television while this schlock is on it's 3rd season. Take stock that it's only a summer series and most folks are out enjoying the weather insteada watchin TV...even on the web.

We don't see everything. The show gives us clues that things happened off screen. She said she was pregnant but had not started treatments. He then ask yeah? Which is another way of saying It's mine? and then he says "I have soldiers" which is a sperm reference saying that he has strong sperm that work very well :)

Well, so much for Bruce's prediction. It's already been picked up and started filming, so I guess that means it's coming back. My predictions? Hmm....I predict the Swarek/McNally romance is going to get broken up. How/why? Could be any number of ways, but leaving them together is just too easy. There's no drama in that and they're going to need drama to keep this show alive. Peck and Luke are going to get it on, then likely break up. Seemed fairly obvious they were pointing us in that direction already, but those two are like oil and water. They won't mix. There's going to be "new guys" maybe one, maybe more, we'll see. Gotta have a "rookie" around since none of these folks are really rookies anymore. Maybe they pari up a new guy with one of these folks to show how they've matured. Sort of along the lines of McNally's little speech in the car to the newbie. I'll sotp there for now.

It's in production already, but probably won't begin airing until June again. Remember, this is just a summer series, not a regular season one.You can read more here. Also mentions a few spoilers for season 3, but nothing that's really going to hurt if you read it. Just that William Shatner is going to make an appearence on the first episode. Doesn't really spoil any of the main story lines though. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/09/08/hit-series-rookie-blue-starts-production-on-season-3/103049/
