Cary looks like a man's man in this film was quite surprised he had a relationship with Randolph Scott for a few years.

I'm a huge Hitchcock fan....This one is not in my favs....Watch Foreign Correspondent for a GREAT Hitchcock film.

Is it me or Hitchcock movies are fairy tales, they are poetic they move with a certain grace...

Notorious and vertigo are the most classic example of an Hitchcock movie... They are romantic but it's a certain Hitchcock romance where the male character has to learn to trust her female counterpart and the female counterpart has to suffer through the whole movie to gain the trust of the male... There is always a "suspense" which only is a background and never the whole plot.Great directors never let their movies limited by a plot... This movie was made in 1946 but look how cleverly Hitchcock avoid the obligatory happy ending by ending the movie with Sebastian going back in the house to face his Nazi cohorts.
I gotta admit REAR WINDOW is my favorite Hitchcock because it starts my favorite actor JAMES STEWART and then says what Hitchcock thinks about cinema

old school entertaining is so entertaining and riveting...had tp hide my eyes at times...excellent acting...oh..but she messed up as a spy...she should have just made a copy of the wine cellar key...oh well

Cary Grant - uncaring but in love with Bergman, very cool and level headed
Ingrid Bergman - her beauty and talent drives this story.
Claude Rains - classic villian

Not a terrible movie or anything, but certainly nothing to get excited over either. There's some good acting, but a poor story with a lackluster ending will quickly make you forget it.
