This film, for me, gives an extremely pessimistic view of love. I'm into pessimism, but the kind that this gives off is one rested in complacency. It skillfully points out the faults of many a love, but at the end, it takes those faults and brazenly proclaims them to be somewhat holistic and fulfilling. Unlike Summer with Monika (which I loved) it's content to proclaim a wholehearted acceptance of it's frivolity.
