I agree with you Chocolate T. Being "BLACK" is such a cliche. I was raised near the beaches of Far Rockaway , Queens in New York and we lived in a small house from 80-82. Then we moved into a housing projects in 82 and was raised there until 90's. My sisters and I were taught to love our African heritage, but know that there are other cultures, races, and sense of pride. Black ppl must know what our ancestors had to endure, but also know what we have accomplished. Blair's disblief in her Grandfather's racist ways is denial, and I have met many white ppl who learned that there relatives were KKK members and felt so ashamed. We are all HUMAN yes, but color will ALWAYS be an issue for many years to come in this world. We just have to teach our children to remain aware, but don't promote hate against their HUMAN brothers and sisters.   See 14 other replies
