So who here saw Starship Troopers 2? I did, and I was displeased with myself as a result. Was disgustingly bad. So when Starship Troopers 3 came out, it's fair to say I wasn't expecting much...Starship Troopers 3 promised nothing, then delivers a real "something." It's not as good as the first book, right... But honestly, it's close to as good as the first movie. The third installment of the series actually delivers on the "deeper message" that it tried to convey. It's meaningful, and entertaining. And there's bug guts! Win-win.Now for the people who read the first book and were disappointed in the first movie, you'll probably hate this too... But you shouldn't, it's good stuff. They remained true to the franchise while updating the story so that it was CLEARLY meant to be viewed by people living during the latest middle-eastern "war.""Preachy?" Yeah, a bit. But if you're looking for a few hours of actually getting caught up in an entertaining story, then this is a great place to look. Give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. So too can you be.
