It's amazing Spurlock is different from a lot of the reality shows on tv these days, especially for episodes like this. I enjoy his series a lot, but this episode meant very much to me. I've grown up between two small reservations and have worked for the tribe and the local casino and have seen both the upside and downside of this (for some tribes it is a blessing not only for economic development, but educational too, though from personal experience I've also seen how it can divide a tribe, i.e. most money going to the tribal council and not to those who are truly in need on the rez.)). I agree with other reviewers if he really wanted to see how isolated native culture has become in the US, there are many examples and it's horrible how it's just overlooked by the rest of society. Though, the navajo nation was a good place for him to at least get some idea of what many of our friends and family go through every day.
Some of my dearest friends and family members from the tribe who don't have a lot for themselves but have always helped me out when I've been in need, and no matter what someone says against them, I know that they're the best people in my life and I love them so much! :-)
