Hulu - Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea: Eleven Days To Zero

was watching shows like this on my parents' black and white Motorola. I didn't miss this or "Combat", as I was a military brat steeped into the lifestyle. We were stationed in the P.I. during Vietnam when this show came out. My dad was with the Strategic Air Command in the USAF, and the Cold War thing was in full effect! This show, and others, fully reflects that time; it's as if I have stepped back in time! Thank you so much, Hulu...I haven't seen this show since it was broadcast originally...brought back some good memories!

Interesting how some of this footage of the X painted car and helicopter attack were used in "The X Factor" but that was in color. I wonder if there are color copies of season one somewhere. Or, with modern technology, it should be easy to colorize them now, and subsequent seasons have the proper colors to choose from.

This doctor was on Green Acers, doc on most of these is the store guy from Little House on the Prarie.

Wow. An earthquake that is going to destroy just about the whole earth is stopped by a secret government sub going to the north pole led by a renegade captain to set down a box containing a nuclear bomb. And all the while fending off enemy subs and planes that for some reason want it to happen. I thought this kind of ridiculously piled on trouble just existed on "24"!!

The effects seemed pretty good for the time, too.
