We've been in the country almost twice as long as World War II, and all for a small force of extremist insurgents that could have been dealt with in a much more precise way. I don't know you and I don't know if you've spent time in Afghanistan or not, but if you have, I'm guessing it was in some form of military or paramilitary service, as part of the machine that Rory is specifically criticizing, and so your opinion is very likely biased. If you haven't, then you have no way to form a real opinion about what is going on in the country, and I doubt you have the experience to form a better strategy for stabilization of the country.Ultimately, I would take the opinion of a single intelligent person who is obviously interested in the needs of the people and who has spent a significant amount of time with them than of a committee of government officials who have no actual local experience at all outside of military action.Who cares what type of gun it is?
