Talk about lazy, and the writers and the producers? Glad i DID read the reviews and watched about ten minutes, skipped to the end, lol. Pretty sad indeed, especially since seeing the series.

I really wish I would have read the reviews before wasting an hour and a half of my life on this movie! I have no idea what just happened at the end????? It makes absolutely no sense! I mean WHAT THE F**K JUST HAPPENED????!!!!

Was that horrible. Plot holes the size of big insect monsters. I was expecting an accompaniment to the series, but it's basically a badly-arranged clip show from the series that in certain areas just makes absolutely no sense.

The series was very very good. I started to watch this movie and I just barfed and turned it off. I couldn't even make it past the first 10 minutes. If you wanna watch blue gender watch the anime series on netflix.

Okay...I challenge you to do a marathon of the series and then compare to the movie...movies based off the series are suppose to an accompaniment not a different concept...they basically took a bunch of scenes from the movie and put them in different order to suit their needs...they also added a very few new scenes and deleted a bunch...they got rid of a lot of key characters (such as the nomad girl, the left behind solider, Tony and the other sleeper girl) and changed other key characters (The doctor, Hans and Rick)...there is no character development and the changes in certain characters (Yuji, Marlene and the doctor) made them into a new person and the changes in their personalities change within the film...for example...how Marlene goes from cold to caring...and how the doctor in the movie is some sadistic dude that hates mankind but kills himself because he felt bad for the sleepers...in the series he is compassionate but has extremely poor leadership skills...they basically made Yuji and Tony one person...bad idea...any who I liked the series but I did not like the last few epi...the series is about genetic mutation that was caused by the Earth and then the Earth finally decided to stop ad let Yuji float around in it's light flow and she became peaceful and glowed...it was like the Earth had PMS and then Yuji calmed it by giving it some good loving...it was very space agey and weird...just not linking up with the series as a whole...plus in the series everyone goes nuts and then kills each other blowing up the space station...which made no sense why they did that it was a random 30 seconds...who gets cabin fever out of nowhere and commits suicide murder en mass...especially since the doctor let people leave if they choose but thought they should remain on the station...they lived on the station all their lives...why did get go all bad now...however in the movie...he was just a prick that decided to commit suicide...no explanation of the space station and the space station was fine...well...the movie's ending was worse...Yuji goes nuts and Marlene almost takes him out...she sad with Yuji state and with the fact she almost killed him...then his dna starts to react to make him good again which in turn the bugs are watching in their circle of life kumbiya circle and then decide these humans are not so bad so we are not going to kill anymore...um...that was stupid...I honestly think the series ending is better even though it did not fit...the movie ending is just disconnected and dumb...Two changes I did like...they took a lot of the religious symbolism out...also changed the fact that second earth was just practice kill kill kill then do some killing and finally orgy time...it sounds like Texas...LOL...JK... :)...actually that part was kinda funny...okay one other change...it was good they gave the the disease a not so obvious name that matched the Blue...and explained the fact that they will go crazy...it was just random in the series beginning, you are sick with something...just go to sleep...no explanation of what it is really...but we are going to use you as a weapon and btw...you have the same cells as the blue and we do not know your symptoms and are surprised you went nuts...Off the topic note: Doesn't the blue remind anyone of angry vajajays with a VD...kinda like vagina dentata but in bug form...I think he B cells were really an STD gone very very wrong...

If you have little time to watch anime and you are just looking to add another notch to your anime belt feel free to check out this really bad compilation movie. Or better yet take the time to watch the series and see the characters get flushed out fully. Also enjoy more bugs, blood and oh ya sex. Did I mention the series has lots of sex and nudity in it. If that does not make you check it out I don't know what will.

... you will probably hate this lame attempt of a movie, on the other hand if you are unfamiliar with the series and some what enjoyed or felt interested about the premise of this movie ,then I absolutely recommend you watch the series.
