He had had only two earlier roles (in '53 and '55) and had not yet begun teaching his influential courses in method acting at this point.The same year this episode was produced (1955), Marisa Pavan was nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar for her role as Rosa, the daughter of the great Anna Magnani in Williams' "The Rose Tattoo." She lost to Jo Van Fleet (see "Shopping for Death," episode 18, from this season) for her role as Kate in Kazan's "East of Eden."
