This one was a hoot!
I know a show's good when I never look at my watch during it; this episode flew by.
Oh Robert! If Mr. Duval ever gets a lifetime achievement award or anything, I hope this role is prominently featured in the montage. Good preparation I would imagine, though, for his other baldy job in THX-1138.
I appreciated the way they let the tension build and let the audience try and figure some things out for itself instead of explaining everything right away, such as when Zar(?) infected the crewman with his blood.
I could nitpick about the faulty sleep-science-knowledge on display here, but I won't. I will just point out that maybe Zar's people didn't THINK they needed sleep, but those dark circles under his eyes say otherwise. (Tsk tsk; so incredibly advanced and they still couldn't come up with a good vitamin E under-eye cream. Maybe they were doomed from the get-go.)
The resolution was surprisingly ruthless, yet within the context of the story logical, and satisfying.
