If you've seen anything starring Bruce Campbell that Sam Rami was involved in you know what to expect. This has the same fun attitude that almost everything Bruce does has. In fact when I first saw it I was reminded of an earlier show Campbell had, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. Both are in a historical setting using science fiction in genres where it shouldn't be. The end result, while not exactly something you can call good, is a fun adventure that leaves a smile when it's over.
