Usually said to be the worst of the Hammer/Christopher Lee Dracula films; this title actually gives Dracula something to do other than hide out in crypts and pounce upon some vixens throat. The script could have been taken from an episode of The Avengers as Dracula is a supervillian bent on destroying the world.
Originally titled Dracula is dead...But alive...and well...and living in London It was meant to be a direct sequel to the Dracula AD 1972 but neither Cushing or Lee was happy with the script, but required--by contract--to be in the film, According to Joanna Lumley(Absolutely Fabulous), who here replaced Stephanie Beacham as Jessica Van Helsing: Lee carried around a copy of the Stoker's novel in hopes of adding some lines that at least would appear true to the character,
One of the funny goofs is the issue of silver...although the Vampire is said to have a problem with silver Lee's ring is obviously silver.
