Ed O'Niell did a great job as a dry, tired, by-the-book LAPD RHD officer, and the backup cast was good too, but the standout for me were the visuals and the great cinematography and imaginative camera work. LA has a 'grit' to it that the show correctly portrays. I think the show slipped a bit in the later episodes and of course was given little chance for survival by its doofus network and bad/shifting timeslot. This and Boomtown are great shows that few people ever saw.
