Extras from zombie movies appear to populate the entire cast of the bottom of the bill time filler.

A little zippy music might have helped give it the semblance of some excitement.

I recommend putting on a Miklos Rozsa compilation in the backround as you watch.

Or a parrot training record.

I used to listen to these shows from old recordings. Its a great film for Old Time Radio show! A big time thriller for the 1930's.

The prop man couldn't get the name right, either - in the newspaper article shown at the end they give his name as Lamont Granston.

Very true - but back when these movies came out, people were just glad to have something to take their minds off of their troubles for an hour or two, all for a few cents.
I always get a laugh out of how the cops are always sitting around the precinct building reading the newspaper, waiting for something to happen.

Well, ya gotta like these or ya don't. I never seem to like them quite as much as I hope. A typical Saturday afternoon five cent movie. The acting in this one is particularly smelly, but I guess that is no different than the Dick Tracy's, Buck Rogers or Flash Gordon's of the era. Mr Moto and Charlie Chan are better. Even Boris Karloff as Mr Wong is better, but maybe that is just me.
