Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle: The Tiny Bite Takers Cure

But my kids love this show, and think it's really funny. (They are 4 and 7) I think it's pretty funny too, for a kids show.

I had high hopes for this series when I saw that Shelley Duvall was associated with it. I loved the Faerie Tale Theatre series. Sadly, this series misses the mark entirely. The original stories didn't need anything added to make them better. I've watched a couple of these episodes and am giving up in disappointment. Why couldn't the original stories have been filmed as they were written? This show is heavy handed, contrived and poorly acted.

Please do us a favor, Ms. Duvall, and stop before Amelia Bedelia is the next unhappy victim of a re-visioning.

I was excited to see that someone had made a show out of one of my favorite childhood literary characters: Mrs. Pigglewiggle. Unfortunately, this show bears little resemblance to the book other than a couple of the names of the characters and some of the situations. But the video is filled with superfluous material that doesn't add to the story. And the story itself was completely changed so that it barely resembles the book. Very disappointing!
