A tale of the Sea View battling the Kraken of Norwegian myth! Who doesn't love a story about a giant cephalopod? "I've caught an octopus on more than one occasion--and they were delightful!" says David Hedison, his gorgeously long eyelashes fluttering at the speed of sonar. I'd bet my last sand dollar that Richard Basehart was more than a little jealous of Hedison--and speaking of little, Basehart was a shrimpkin, wasn't he? Everyone else towered over him, in their '60s skinniesh way; they turn sideways and they disappear. It's a wonder they had the strength to help that angelic child who appeared out of nowhere up on the sub; I believe that was a young Charlize Theron. Say what you will about these cheesy Star Trekky shows of yesteryear, at least you know the name of it was "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea", because they say it twice in the opening. Ahh, that pinging; I love the sound of all that pinging. Puts me right to bed.
