Ample opportunity for gratuitous nudity, but none here--instead, plenty of inventive weirdness and quip-swapping, with just enough comic spice to keep the story from getting too heavy.
I've enjoyed Claudia Black's tough-but-witty acting in several other series and films. You might want to catch her in Rango (yeah, I watch kids' shows), BeastMaster, Stargate, FarScape, Xena, and Hercules; her authoritative but nuanced voice is also featured in some video games.
I much prefer this direction the series took with the banter between Harry and Bob, than without. And I think the show is a little more believable with this tack, when Harry tries to hide the strangest happenings from "civilians," but fills them in sometimes to the extent absolutely necessary, so they don't think they're going crazy.
The hard-line approach with Lt. Murphy's character really doesn't quite work, and I think the character would have been softened slightly and been less one-dimensional, had the series run longer. The Dresden and Murphy characters just don't have any moments when they really warm up to each other in the few episodes that ran so far. We do get to see Murphy dressed up for something social here, though, so you could see that the character could have been somewhat more fleshed out.
