There are plenty of level headed Christians on the show. But you mostly notice the crazy ones because they stand out the most. If you look at any group, it's always the craziest ones that stick out. Whether it's Christianity, atheism, or anything in between, you have good and bad people, and you barely notice the good ones.

It almost seems like the writers of this show really don't like Christians. all the weird psycho's on this show have something to do with Faith or Christianity. If you are a Christian character on this show there must be something wrong with you. Reverend Purdy is a ignorant gullible fool. Humanism rules this show.

Looking back, is it possible that the kidnapper mysterious words to Johnny is a foreshadowing of the organization he will encounter and fight later on? Is it possible that the kidnapper, not Janus, is the first member of that organization he will encounter...?

I suppose they had to make this a stand-alone, as the big thing that had to be reconciled from "Destiny" requires a lot. Still, the main storyline of this episode, while engaging at first, doesn't have a particularly satisfying payoff, I think.

That being said, there are a lot of great moments, here--particularly Sarah clearly still dealing with her guilt...and her classic clash with a persistent Stilson. Her taking note of his vague platitudes is a great moment--if only her words held true for America in general.
