It not a paradox because he's not interacting with the future he's just seeing a possible future if he chose to do nothing the research would go on as planned the future changes when he intervenes. the bank robbery episode did a good job of covering that.

I guess it doesn't count in psychic visions of the future, but wouldn't seeing the solution eliminate the need for the research to find the solution and cancel the vision? even if the paradox can be skipped because it's a psychic vision that can cross parallel dimensions (or something) The researchers whose careers would be made, putting them in supervisory positions to teach their problem-solving approaches to others wouldn't be noticed.
doesn't matter I ignore all that and really enjoy the series.
