This is an interesting POV of an interesting person. It makes me think that I have to step my game up. He left 1000 paintings and 1000 drawings at the age of 27. Even if you didn't like his work, you still have to admire the amount of work that he did. One thing that I'm guessing about here is the fact that he was "famous" at that age and not only famous after he died. The interviews hint at it but I'd like for it to be more definitive. We know that many artists are famous after death. Also, what really haunted him? Did he go back to using drugs after knowing that it would kill him?
This is piece that I'd definitely watch again and again. The filmmaker did a good job with the archived footage. Tieuel Legacy! Motion
