I think people are being quite kind in their negative reviews of this doc. Im a fan of street art but bubble letters on trains is just ugly vandalism. Like these artist said themselves, there was so much else going on in NYC at this time and graffiti was just an eye sore for some people. And that hits it on the head right here. It IS an eye sore and there were a lot more interesting events going on and therefore MUCH better documentaries to watch.

"If Art is a Crime, May God Forgive Me"

Grew up having a blast in NY, and have moved on to computer graphics. I grew up with the talents of Dondi and Seen. Some artists have true talent and should be sponsored and have exhibits.

I agree with the previous reviewers. Style Warz was much better; however I have learned more about graffiti art from free college lectures of all things. Go figure!

great footage from the old days, but overall, not so interesting.
interviewing only three writers who all sold out to the system and robbing mom-and-pop stores makes them just look like jerks.

I'd have to agree with Aryd'ell about this vid.
10 minutes on how they stole paint.
They're more in the tagger department, except for Pink, maybe.

No one should ever stop doing what they really want to do. 4 great artists to document. They did their time and shined, i think graffiiti is always gonna have its relevance in society.....its just only to get bigger and having its own historic art museum without just being exhibits and shows as it is now. WRD!

Stealing paint, writing like 7th grade girls- bubble writing- seems Pink is the only one who actually graduated to 'artist' status by reaching past what she did as a young teen.
I might enjoy some of the 'artwork' but think that what goes around, comes back to bite ya later...wonder how they will be in 2026?
