During the first 10-15 minutes this movie seems like unwatchable 80's softcore. However, once the homicides begin the story and the speed starts to pick up and it becomes a pretty good thriller. The longer you watch, the better and better it gets... and boy does it get good!
Fun to watch. Feels less inspired by Hitchcok than by Truffaut/Chabrol (who were, of course, going gaga about Hitchcock). Nice camera work in the museum scene compensates for the depiction of transsexuals that just does not fly anymore 28 years later. I care less about the polictal incorrectness than about the sheer silliness.
I remember seeing this movie back in the 70's with my family.....kind of weird watching a movie with all that sex in it...but it is still scary....the best part are those shoes at the end..it still gets me
