Rin, Shima and Izumo have been sent on a mission, only to end up working instead. They meet a boy named Yohei and learn of the "Demon of the Deep." Yohei lost his father to this monster, and wants revenge. Worried, Rin and the others watch over him.

This episode isn't meant for character or plot development. And also, the ending wasn't lame...not all endings are exciting you know. Also, they could leave the school because an exorcist was with them and he was trying to teach them something. They show Izumo and Shima in this too. I was at least happy about that, and I love episodes with a beach. Fillers aren't stupid...they're there for a reason, a break from the plot and comic relief. If you don't like the episode, skip it or stop watching the series. This is a good series, even though the ending came too soon and wasn't exactly what anyone wanted. Just stop hating this episode, it's one of my favorites!

If you have a problem with fillers then just stop watching anime. . . good lord people like you need to either get a life or grow some balls or somthing.

The only singular reason for watching this episode is to see Izumo wearing cutoff shorts, or in her bikini. That's about as far as her character development goes. This episode was blah, and even though the series has surpassed this episode... I really do hope it gets more intriguing. So far it's been great, and then meh, and then great, and then meh. It's like a rollercoaster of mediocrity. Above average mediocrity. lol

I completely agree with everything said in this review lol. This episode was SO BAD.

And Chelsea, yes Izumo developed but other than that, everything else SUPER sucked. Just because you like a show doesn't mean that every episode has to, or will be good.

For some reason Japanese Anime seem to do filler episodes that do little to advance the story line.

I did like the cat just because I have a soft spot for our feline friends but other then that nothing really to see in this episode.

As for true fans - if a show isn't as good as the standard they've set since episode one you need to stand up and say so otherwise they'll keep adding filler which will ruin any good show if enough is added.
