It's pretty clear that the camp bed and Louis XVI chair are intentionally humorously impractical, but the dining table and all the other "antique" furniture aren't really commented on, even though they're atrocious.I wonder if all these pieces were intentionally garish, or if in fact it was in vogue in the mid-70s? Like in 20 years people will look back at country French and scoff? Honestly I have no idea. I've seen enough dark woods from then to think it was probably in style.The modern furniture Suzanne Pleschette tossed out was perfectly good, as long as you can handle the 60s/70s upholstery. Umber explosion!
