I really wasn't sure if this movie would be any different than other movies about the holocaust or WWII but this was actually a really insightful drama. I haven't really seen many movies that depict the journey of refugees and war survivors who are trying to make their way home after being liberated from the concentration camps. They did a great job of showing the chaos that still existed even though the war was over. I also thought the cinematography was quite stunning and even brutal at times. Overall, this film did an amazing job of capturing the harrowing experience of trying to get home, get back to a kind of normal existence, and creating a new normal, after being imprisoned and denigrated for countless years.
