And you should make you're brother aware of his circular logic. Why would God allow us to be tricked with convincing evidence? If we were made in the image of God, but God is perfect, why the trickery? Is pettiness part of perfection? If God created Satan, is Satan not a part of God? Why would God, who most certainly would have to have the foreknowledge of the Fall of Man, let it happen? If Adam and Eve were as innocent and naive as Genesis makes them out to be, God did a great disservice to human kind.   See 5 other replies

For some reason many religious people can't seem to incorporate science into their belief system. I find it funny, though, that many famous scientists were religious and spiritual. Einstein, Darwin, Newton, Hawking... They are all spiritual people. They may not be practicing church goers, but their scientific endeavors have led them to a spiritual philosophy. Religion can be a poison, or a logical conclusion. I was raised without religion, and I'm going to school for ecology and evolutionary science. During my studies, I've developed my own deist perceptions. There may be a creator, but it certainly cannot be the deity of Judeo-christian religions. Our world, let alone the universe, is far too large and complex to have been created solely for us. Think about it. If there is indeed a creator, they are a true artist. They have the drive to create. What would Van Gogh have been if he had created one piece and left it at that? Would he be a great artist? The sooner we admit we are not the most important thing in the world, or universe, the more we can appreciate what we have.   See 5 other replies

from what i'm seeing, yeah. makes ya wonder though, how they get ideas in their heads like that. i'm not a church goer but i believe in a higher power. some of these preachers/pastors know what to tell people and others evidently don't (your brother's case). good luck with that one lol. try getting him to find another church, may be his only hope.   See 5 other replies
