I think its funny that when people get into the whole evolution vs creation discussion, that they completely forget that the bible has Proven to be inspired of a being higher than that of human wisdom due to fulfilled prophecy. Take the book of Daniel, it foretold different world powers that would conquer the known world through a 2000 year period. We have also the testimony of the Jewish historian Josephus, who states that the prophecies of Daniel were shown to Alexander the Great when he entered Jerusalem. This occurred in about 332 B.C.E., more than 150 years before the Maccabean period. Josephus says of the event: “When the book of Daniel was shown to him, in which he had declared that one of the Greeks would destroy the empire of the Persians, he believed himself to be the one indicated.” (Jewish Antiquities, XI, 337 [viii, 5]) History also recounts that Alexander bestowed great favors on the Jews, and this is believed to have been because of what Daniel said about him in prophecy. So many more prophecies are mentioned and fulfilled. So in my opinion its important to know how we got here, but that we are here and we have a book thats proved to be a reliable guide for hundreds of years.   See 7 other replies

I think both sides of the argument basically comes to the same conclusion. Whether it was God or the big bang theory, you still have 'something from nothing'. Though with God, people believe that He always was there, but if a person could believe that about God why could they not believe that about singular molecules that may have just 'came' into existence or better yet 'have always existed forever and ever'? Honestly what is the difference? I just see both sides of the argument leading the same point of origin that really can't be explained regardless.   See 7 other replies

See i hate when people try to use the idea that everything has to come from something to try to prove there's a god. Because if everything has to come from something where did god come from? When ever i ask that question i usually get "oh he was always there" wtf? But even if there was a god its very arrogant to assume that a being that is all powerful and all knowing cares about what we do and needs our worship.   See 7 other replies

You know what's even more dumb? Assuming that an illogical world would act logically. But the dumbest thing ever is probably shouting your opinions at people on hulu discussion boards. The DUMBEST thing to assume is that all of creation came into being from nothing. That is the foundation or the root of every evolution theory. "One day out of nothing a cell appeared and it decided to become two. Then the two did not like each other and one of them decided that it would evolve into something different." The only intelligent assumption or theory is design. That takes a creator. A designer. A God.   See 7 other replies
