Not a great movie by any means, but a nice distraction. I watch a lot of Korean programs to learn the language and kill time at work (lol), and this did the trick. In short, a story of redemption and acceptance. The past may have a tendency to catch up with you, but this makes you believe that it's possible to find one's paradise in some forgotten part of the world. I find that many Korean stories show the good in people. Few really evil characters, only some doing the wrong thing because of the pain they feel or misguided intentions. It's rather soothing.

Beautiful scenery and well told story. You feel for the characters and their stories. It always amazes me what a mother will do to her child!

This movie has a tendency to be overly dramatic and think it's grander than it really is. That said, the quieter moments really spoke to my heart, and I came to love the characters. There were a few parts where I started to lose faith in the story's direction, but it always managed to bring me around again because when it was good, it was sensitive and understated, with a warm, indie-feel to it. Not a great film technically, but I love it for its heart.

Cute and lovely. Nice movie. Sappy in some parts but thats the fun. If you prefer watch this on mute and it changes the vibe entirely. All and all, well acted, funny and intriging. A true delight.
