I really liked this movie. It's what a movie should be- keeps you guessing until the end.... American movies can take a note from this one!!!!

Great storyline, although I have only one problem with it. The female detective looks too young and when police officers come up with a story that occurred seven years ago you start wondering "How old was that girl when she entered the police department?"
Overall I loved that movie much more than other mainstream movies.

As I read the original comment, the poster never stated that the tasteless unnecessary bits were from one movie industry or the other, just that they were pervasive. The fact is that there's an abundance of sweet Korean dramas and movies without the mindless "sex sells" values of Hollywood (and those who would imitate Hollywood), and that IS refreshing. Of course there are all kinds of Asian cinema and "everywhere else in the world" - but for someone who is tired of all that from *any* nation's studios, K-drama feels palpably different. I've watched enough foreign film of a range of ratings, yet was completely surprised by the ease with which I could find "innocence" combined with drama/cinema/acting/producing/storyline *substance* in K-drama.

The ending has much to be desired. What is it with K-cinema and TV and the endings? Especially in the serials.

Do they sit the directors down in film school over there and say, "Okay, do a really good job on the beginning, and the peak in the story arch, but you must, I repeat, MUST rush through and cram as much crappy stuff in the ending." Maybe I haven't seen enough K-cinema/ TV, but it's becoming repetitive from what I've seen so far. It's like going to a restaurant that serves mouth-watering gourmet entrees and meals, but gives you a curly piece of dog poop on a plate for dessert.

this was a decent movie. i'm not sure about how the ending was put together but it was a nice story that was well acted. it's a good watch for the times you want to see a k-drama but don't want to engross yourself is a serial. (we k-drama fans know that sometimes it's hard to stop watching the tv shows in the middle of a good story arc...)
