There were moments in the first half that I found very promising-- a strong role for a woman in the 1930's who won't take any BS from a man? The part in which the main character turns down, and verbally dresses down, the conceited leading man was wonderful, but it turns out that was the last good scene in the film. She soon after goes for him anyway and the rest of the movie was maudlin garbage. Sad to say, but a waste of time.
