The fake Methos was going in to his spiel about a life of 5 thousand years without taking risks wouldn't be a life worth living. While he may be right about that there is no way in hell an Immortal would be able to live that long without a key focus on plain old survival.

It's hard to take risks if you're dead. Duncan was right. Evil would never stop and they'd eventually take over the world if there wasn't the ever presence of good there to combat them.

One of the better episodes.
The writers are taking a look at what it means to be an immortal.

A green screen quickening either showing the immortal's past lives or people he has known. Unfortunately, it looks like Ritchie is doing the backstroke.
