They just don't make them like this anymore. I like how they covered topics like trust, relationships, and so on in the 80s, even racism and bigotry. Today, most shows rely souly on stereotypes of how people act with disregard to the fact they are stereotyping. Todays shows try to preach tolerance and yet they are being bigoted and racist. For some reason it seemed like they tried harder to push the message of understanding and "not judging a book by it's cover" sort of topics which you just can't really find today. For example the show "Modern Family" seems like it would be about diversity yet it leans heavily on stereotyping people without any real lessons to be learned. In the 80s shows were both very funny & yet very touching at the same time, with wisdom to be learned along the way.
