alf rocks
you didnt notice the laugh track when you were a kid because it was the norm, every single comedic sitcom in the 80's and 90's had one. It wasnt until the new age dry, dead pan, reality style comedic sitcoms like arrested development, the office, and 30 rock, that networks in america let the viewing audiance to figure out when to laugh for themselves.

Thank god the pilot episode is over.
Already the show is better after the pilot episode, but the fake laugh track is offsetting. I guess I didn't notice when I was a kid. Oh well, at least the jokes are better.
