It looks like we're getting only one international trailer, which is odd, since the world generally cuts for the thrill hungry low attention span of Americas differently. This trailer, for most of us, is straight 3 out of 5 stars. Its cut like a {and yes, I love his scripts. Luc's french sensibility take on American action films, with the delicious delicacies of; car chases through Europe, kick ass action scenes, true baddies oppressing brilliant underdogs, a sexy, vulnerable, femme fatale, amazing plot twists, and unrivaled explosions!}... but this trailer makes it feel like a Besson hodgepodge, that greatly discredits the movies chance for success. In the full trailer, you feel like you completely believe the trauma and tears, but your less likely to believe that skinny little, frail seeming Zoe could pull off believable deadliness. But the scenes from the movie, separate from this lame trailer attempt, are fantastic, and fresh! And they offer up a heroine in Columbiana whose so far past crying on the horrific tragedy that befell her family, that she has a fascinating, detached, compartmentalized, skill of dispatching her enemies with the cool precision of "The Cleaner" from "La Femme Nikita".
Many who don't see the refreshing scenes will play the favorites and most likely see it for the draw of the writer, director, producer or a particular actor.... still others will discount it outright based on the puerile trailer MEGA FAIL, so its just too darned bad about this cutting room schlock..
