Indeed, nature is very resillient. I live in Springfied, MA, the third largest city in the state. We have on any given day a visit, in our back yard, from: oposum, red tailed hawk, skunk, hedge hog, owl, cardinal, and yes even racoons. As a species Homo sapiens cannot claim the earht, but can only borrow its spaces. This film is great in showing how nature is constantly at work reclaiming the parts of the planet we are done using. To Joe Murphy: It is only becauce of our (the human race) big brains that we are able to see what is wrong with the earth, and hopefully, are able to think (we are the only animal, as you call us, to be able to do this) of a way to save it. Joe, what is so wrong with that?

I find it just amazing that some people think our "man made" world is not a natural word. Humans are living organisms just like snails and birds and raccoons and hundreds of other animals. There are more raccoons now then before man made cities. Any animal adapts to it's environment. The peregrine falcon was considered to be nearly extinct until they realized that they had moved into the big cities and were feeding on squab ( that's a pigeon for all of you that didn't go to a good school.) Don't fall for the BS from the idiots that are proclaiming glum and doom. Yea maybe the earth is getting hotter. In the past it was much hotter then it is now. Animals will adapt or not. 99.9 percent of all animals that have ever lived are extinct. That's part of the cycle of life. Now way in the back in the cheap seats you hear someone yell "yea but now it's man doing it." Well I hate to be the one to break it to you but we are animals too. If anything humans have the idea to preserve animal life. We domesticate animals to make our lives better. I just love a good steak. The one point I think is essential to remember is education does not equal intelligence. So when some guy with a PhD stand up and tells you how bad off it is going to get just yawn and wait for the main event.

You have got to see the snail close ups around 13:50. The antlion at 11:25 is awesome, too. This a beautiful, relaxing documentary. It showcases a lot of everyday animals, like racoons, but it's fun to watch.

The cinematography is breathtaking. The music is inspired and well-matched with the footage. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this one. Watch with your kids!

Loved everything about this for some reason. Gave me a whole new respect for wildlife i see everyday. the music was also REALLY GOOD.

This is a nice little documentary about how some animals live around us and our cities. You won't find much science here, just well narrated, well edited footage.
