Yet another cave harboring Aliens and their machinery!!! Outlandish episode has bits and pieces of everything. Dr. Smith creates an army of duplicate creatures from an assemly like bakery where a glob of pizza dough becomes these doughy creatures. And yes, ex-Zorro star Williams does some fine swashbuckling gymnastics.
The evil Will creature with Dr. Smith's blank face is a hoot!! Creepy and a good villian.
Much going on here and it somehow works!!! Crazy but wild!!!

I have to admit this episode was one of my favorites whenever watching it in syndication in the 70s. I loved the crazy ez bake cyborgs! The make-up was really fantastic on the Will/Smith ( a joke, son!) hybrid! The part when Will comes out the machine always used to creep me out!

Look at the smile on Guy Williams face as he sword fights with all the muskateers! You know he must have loved filming this episode. Guy used to play Zorro prior to this show, and wanted more action/adventure...but the writers turned Lost In Space into dreck and robot boobery!

No, it's not the best episode, simply one of my favorites!

Well, I thought the Easy-Bake Oven clone-making machine was amusing, and all the Smith masks were rather nifty. I'll give it that, at least.

Correct you are regarding the writer: Robert Hamner started with LiS only in the 3rd season.

Given the episode's awfulness, why not help bring its rating down? It still shows as 4.5! And for the good stuff, stick to the 1st season.

Finally, this happens to be yet another episode the title of which Hulu has managed to misrender: it's simply "Space Destructors" (no "The"). See 1 other reply

Dialogue is flat in spots...even for a Lost In Space Episode. Who ever wrote this is definately not one of the original writers.
