Plus angel was far darker in season three of buffy. We cant forget that though in the "buffyverse" angel is 240, he also experienced centuries of torment in a hell dimention between seasons two and three, guess he grew up alot in those yrs. See 5 other replies

Well, not all hell dimensions are alike. I got the impression that time was sort of meaningless where he was, that every moment was an eternity and unchanging, so counting the time he was there is sort of pointless.
The same can be said of Buffy's summer in heaven before season 6. See 5 other replies

Yeah he'd technically be older, and it would actually be a lot older...it was 100 years in one day, not 100 days in 1 day....so he'd be hundreds or thousands of years older, depending on the rate of time flow in the demon dimension he was in. That was why he had degenerated into basically a wild animal when he was thrown out...hundreds of years of torment. See 5 other replies

Wouldn't Angel be older then 240 yrs. Old because he was in the Hell Dimension between Season 2-3 and time moves differently in that dimension. The one Buffy was in in Season 3 premiere was 100 Days their is 1 day in the real world. See 5 other replies

Is was nto an over night change. As the first few seasons compared to this take place fours years prior. By the end of the season three, the characters have both changed. Look at Buffy she changes drastically each season. It was needed. so show off the fact he is a 240 yr old vampire. See 5 other replies
