This is the first Sacha Guitry film I've seen, and I am happy to report that I am not disappointed. I really enjoyed the strange but workable plot construction (it could have been two separate films) and the sparkling dialogue. Performances were good throughout, but a viewer wouldn't be blamed if, after viewing this film, he thought that all French women were lovely, obliging, and smiled all the time whether it were inappropriate or not! Clever and unique, have a look.
